Hubby laughed at me when I told him I was doing a make-up entry. I don't profess to know anything at all about makeup - it's definitely been a trial and error process for me. I didn't even start trying out make-up until I was in college and till this day do not wear it on a daily basis. Maybe I could check into cosmetology school! However, I'm happy to have found a routine that's quick and easy. Due to readers requests, I'll share some make-up necessities I would usually have on in blog posts. For me, it's all about using products that makes me look more awake!
- For Face - it would be a toss up between Lancome's Ageless Minérale With White Sapphire Complex Skin-Transforming Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 21 in Natural Beige 40 or Bare Minierals in Light. Both gives me that natural and fresh look.
- Open the Eyes - Shiseido Eyelash Curler, sometimes I would just curl it and not use mascara.
- Define Lashes - Estee Lauder's MagnaScopic Maximum Volume Mascara or any sample mascara from Estee or Lancome, I am not loyal to any brand and mostly use samples.
- Brighten Eyes - Stila Eyeshadow in Moonlight, I swipe this on top of my lids, near the brow bone and at the inner corner of eyes: it instantly gives me the wide-awake look.
- Add Color - Lancome's La Roseraie Illuminating Smooth Powder works great as a blush and all over face powder to give me a rosy glow.
- Lips - NARS Belle de Jour Lipstick and/or NARS lipgloss in Orgasm
{Before}
{just moisturizer for face and Vaseline for lips}
{After}
{products 1 through 6 above}
That's it! Sometimes I look darker or lighter in blog photos due to the lighting and/or angle shots. Hope this was somewhat informative, any questions please ask!
Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteYour skin always looks flawless! Is this your favorite blush/mascara? I also posted about some of my skincare/make-up products today (and I laughed at myself because I don't know much about beauty products, just that I like to try new things ;) ) But I still haven't found a favorite blush/mascara, always looking for suggestions!

hi! I can't see you're following me :( try again?
ReplyDeleteVery interesting post, hun. I love to see what products others use because that way I can discover new, interesting products :) xoxo ♥
ReplyDeleteMy make up routine is easy peasey as well. :) I don't even use foundation/concealor, partly because I don't really know how, but also because there really isn't anything to "hide". Gone are the days where I would bake in the sun, so my skin is pretty healthy. :)
ReplyDeleteHowever, it's rare that I'll leave the house without ANY make up on. 99.9% of the time I dust my face lightly with sheer powder, lashes curled with mascara applied, bottom eye lined, rosy cheeks (Chanel blush in mocha), and a swipe of my current fave lippy, right now it's Chanel "Boy". And that's pretty much it!
One day when needed, I'll learn how to use foundation/concealor. Lol.
Hope you're having a great day, hun!
xx Love & Aloha
Wonderful blog my dear! :)

I definitely need that brighten eyes! I'm always looking for ways to make my eyes look less tired :)
ReplyDeleteI agree about the brighten eyes, it definitely appears to work! I love the NARS lipsticks, I'm currently living in their Niagara color. Usually I put on blush and mascara and some sort of lipstick and go to work. No one at work wears makeup so I don't feel motivated to either. I should change that.
ReplyDeleteThu, you look gorge with or without makeup! I need to look up that eye brightener (I see lots of comments on that! because it's totally awesome!)

Thanks for visiting my blog, I'm now following you! :) I really like this post, because I'm definitely someone who wouldn't feel confident sharing too much on makeup as I'm so far from an expert myself! These choices look wonderful though, especially the powder foundation & brightening eyeshadow! Your skin looks absolutely beautiful in these photos :)
