Balancing Act :: V Nunes Jewelry

Anyone that knows me know that I love jewelries that have special connotations. This earring that I am wearing is from V Nunes' Balance Collection. It is based on the yin-yang symbol, where contrary forces work against each other to create a perfect equilibrium to promote balance and encouragement. It is sterling silver with a 5 micron 18k Gold Plate. I love that the backside is done with an orange colored epoxy resin so that no matter which way you look at it, it is beautiful at any angle.   

 Behind V Nunes hand-crafted jewelry is the very talented designer and goldsmith - Veronica Nunes. Veronica focuses her design on attractive pieces that not only enhance the human form but also fit the body comfortably. With inspiration from her two hometowns, Rio de Janeiro and New York, she launched her first collection in December of 2010 with genuine pieces that mirrors the natural environment as well as man-made objects.

 Some of my favorite pieces from V Nunes comes from the Architexture Collection. Inspired by the modern and old architecture of NYC, this collection is a compilation of exposed brick walls, arches, bridges and skyscrapers which translates into a collection of 9 original and elegant jewelry pieces. My favorites are the Build necklace, ring and earrings.
