Dear Charlotte (on your 6th birthday)

Dear Charlotte,

Last night when I came home from school my sweet little 5 year old was already asleep. I climbed into your bed to cuddle with you and kissed your chubby cheeks just as I always do...but somehow it felt a little different. I realized that even though you are still my baby, you are growing up. I can hardly believe my Char-bear is 6 years old.

Early this morning, Daddy, Christopher and I gathered onto your bed to sing you "Happy Birthday" and showered you with kisses and you were so happy. When they left the room, I held you in my arms and rocked you just like I've always done for the past 5 years. And as I did so, you told me that you would always be my baby. I'm so grateful for the special bond and love we share and am blessed to have you as my precious, beautiful daughter.

So on your 6th birthday, I wish for you to always be as sweet and as happy as you are today. Remember to dream big my dear and always keep love in your heart and a smile on your face.

Happy Birthday, my sweet Charlotte. I love you with all my heart.
